National Programmes

As part of the National Outreach Programmes, INTACH HECS has been organizing national programmes such as: My City My History (2009-11) – a collaborative pan- India programme with FOX History and entertainment to explore India’s rich historical and cultural heritage; Tagore at 150- ‘The Power of the Pen’ (2011-12) – to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore; Harit Sankalp – Care for Nature (2012-13) – to focus on promoting an understanding of natural heritage and learning to care for it; My Living Icon (2013-14) – a pan- India essay competition focused on acknowledging any one individual from one’s city or state who has contributed considerably to the field of art, culture and heritage of the city; Clean Monument Campaign (2015-16)- a poster making competition to inculcate a sense of cleanliness and its significance; My City My Heritage (2016-17) – an essay and painting competition to give a better understanding of City’s heritage and inculcate a sense of belonging and pride; Route to Roots (2017-18) – a poster making competition to appreciate and value his/her family and community’s heritage; Paani Ki Kahani My Water Heritage (2018-19) – an essay and painting competition to create awareness about the unique water heritage structures across the country; Gandhiji at 150 (2019-20) – an essay and painting competition to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi; Nature in Danger – Care and Conserve My Project Report (2020-2021)- a project report on any one topic associated with nature, Saving water, Saving or planting trees; Energy conservation initiative; Recycling initiative; Promoting a traditional green practice; Water body cleanup initiative or any such topic related to natural heritage; India at 75: Heritage in Our Hands (2021-2022)- it is based on any unique heritage which is connected to India’s struggle for Independence from 1857-1947 from their region or city; Khana Khazana: My Food Heritage (2022-2023) – to celebrate the culinary heritage of our country. The essays are to describe the unique dishes, unique utensils and various chefs.

My Monument Search (2023-2024)

INTACH HECS is organizing a poster making competition “My Monument Search” this year. The topic is based on any lesser-known built heritage from your region or city. The competition requires students from classes 7-9 to make a poster on A3 size poster with a suitable slogan based on the selected topic and a 200 words write-up on A4 size paper.

The last date of submission of entries is February 15th, 2024
