National Programmes

As part of the national outreach programmes, INTACH HECS has been organizing national programmes such as: My City My Heritage (2009-11)- a collaborative pan- India programme with FOX History and Entertainment to explore India’s rich historical and cultural heritage; Tagore at 150- ‘The power of the Pen’ (2011-12)- to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore; Harit Sankalp– Care for Nature (2012-13)- to focus on promoting an understanding of natural heritage and learning to care for it; My Living Icon (2013-14)- a pan- India essay competition focused on acknowledging any one individual from one’s city or state who has contributed considerably to the field of art, culture and heritage of the city.

Route To Roots 2017-18
INTACH HECS is organizing a national poster making competition ‘Route to Roots.’ this year. The national competition requires students from classes 6 to 9 to make a poster and supplement it with a 100 word write –up on their unique family or community heritage, they can choose to highlight any one aspect – such as customs, family traditions, rituals, cuisine, costume, indigenous practices, folklore and family tree. The competition commences on 24th November in Delhi. Around 100 INTACH Chapters from across the country are conducting this competition in their respective cities.
