Filmlt

FilmIt is an exciting multi-cultural project that helps students makes short films on their city’s heritage. The project is funded by the Helen Hamlyn Trust (United Kingdom) and is a part of Open Futures FilmIt programme. The students are trained in content development and technical knowledge through a series of workshops. So far, over 4500 short films (time duration of 2- 3 minus) have been prepared by the students in India. FilmIt Project is in its 14th year. It is spread out in 15 cities (including, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Ambala, Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Varanasi, Kochi, Port Blair, Vadodara and Palakkad). Every year it culminates through a FilmIt Festival wherein, overall best movies are screened and schools are awarded for their efforts.
